GOOGLE IO 2015 TO BE HELD IN SAN FRANCISCO FROM MAY 28-29 – REGISTRATION DETAILS & MORE

Google announces the much awaited Google IO for 2015 from May 28-29 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Registrations for attending this event will be starting at 9 am Pacific Time on March 17 and will run through March 19th5pm Pacific Time. Just kin case if you are wondering on what exactly is Google IO, then it’s a place where you will get two days of inspirational talks, hands-on learning, and a chance to hear more about Google’s latest developer products.Sundar Pichai, Senior VP Products will be kick starting the event. Google has mentioned that just like last year to avoid mad rush, Google’s systems will be selecting random users which will be selected by a computer randomly.

While the detailed session details are not yet available, but once its available we will make sure to communicate the same to you at this same place. The current schedule mentioned in the Google’s IO website is more of a placeholder which only outlines the session timings on that given day and nothing else. BLU STUDIO ENERGY SMART PHONE WITH 5000MAH BATTERY NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON

BLU Products, a Miami-based mobile phone manufacturer, known for selling unlocked devices in the US, has announced today the new BLU Studio Energy smartphone. Apparently, Blu Studio Energy is a rebranded Gionee Marathon M3.

BLU Studio Energy Smart Phone has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280*720 pixels (300 ppi) resolution. The phone comes with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded MicroSD card up to 128GB. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek’s quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, which comes with Mali 450 GPU as the dedicated graphics card.The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

On the camera front, BLU Studio Energy Smart Phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device comes with various connectivity options such as 3G HSPA+ Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.

HOW TO INSTALL STOCK ANDROID 5.0.2 ON XIAOMI MI4 – TUTORIAL

Xiaomi India has launched the Mi4 smartphone in India for Rs 19,999. Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year, but wasn’t available in India until now. Notable specs of the Mi4 include a 5-inch IPS display with Corning OGS Glass, and a 3080 mAh quick charging battery. The Mi4 is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processorm,3GB RAM and has 16 GB of flash storage.

  

  

Following is the detailed guide to Install Stock Android 5.0.2 on Xiaomi Mi4. This custom ROM has been developed by XDA Developer @Ivan.The ROM is based on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS but it is not a final version. It supports English language and seems pretty stable. You will get play store and all the google apps pre-installed as the ROM comes GAPPS.

PRE-REQUISITES:

STEPS TO INSTALL STOCK ANDROID 5.0.2 ON XIAOMI MI4 SAMRTPHONE

1. Download and transfer Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ROM on your phone’s internal memory.
2. Then reboot the device into recovery mode as follows:
   1. Power OFF the device and wait until it is completely shutdown.
   2. Now press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together until the device enters the recovery mode.
3. After entering in the recovery mode, clear the phone memory, by choosing ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option.
4. Now, clear the cache memory by selecting “wipe cache partition.”
5. Now, go back to the ClockworkMod recovery, and select “advanced” and tap on “wipe Dalvik cache”
6. Again come back to main recovery screen and then tap on “install zip” and then “choose zip from sdcard” and then select “ 0/”. Now, locate and select the Android 5.0.2 ROM .zip file in SD card to start the installation process.
7. Once done with the installation process, navigate to ‘+++++Go Back+++++’ and re-start the device by opting “reboot system now” seen in the recovery menu.

HOW TO INSTALL CLOCKWORKMOD (CWM) RECOVERY ON XIAOMI MI4 – TUTORIAL

Chinese handset maker Xiaomi launched its latest smartphone Mi4 in India, earlier this month. Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year. However, the device did not hit the Indian market until this month.

The company, which entered the Indian market last year, has launched three devices here so far — Redmi 1S, Redmi Note and Mi3 — in partnership with e-commerce major Flipkart. Last week, Xiaomi had launched its flagship smartphones, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, at an event in Beijing.

Following is the detailed guide to Install ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery on Xiaomi Mi4.

PRE-REQUISITE

1. Download the CWM recovery for Mi4 smartphone.
2. Create a backup of all the data present in your device.
3. Your smartphone should be ROOTED to install CWM Recovery.If you’ve not yet rooted your Xiaomi Mi4 device before, follow the Steps to root the Xiaomi Mi4 Smartphone without loosing Warranty.

In following 2 ways, you can Install ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery.

METHOD 1

1. Download the Rashr app from the play store.
2. Extract the zip file of the recovery which you downloaded earlier on your computer.
3. Copy the “recovery.img” from extracted file to a folder in the internal memory of the phone.
4. Now,open the rashr app [note – It will ask you for the root permission, accept it. If you’re on MIUI 6, you will have to open the security app and allow root access to this app]
5. Select the first option of the app called “Recovery from storage”, it will show a browser, go to the folder where “recovery.img” is, click on it, validate the flash.
6. After the flash is done, the app will ask you if you want to reboot to recovery, you can say yes if you want to check or use it right know.

METHOD 2

1. Rename the recovery file which you downloaded earlier as update.zip
2. Now, copy that file in the Mi4 device.
3. Open the updater app on your smartphone.
4. Press menu button and then “Choose file”
5. Then select install update.zip
6. Reboot the device.

LOLLIPOP UPDATE COMING TO GALAXY NOTE 2 : SAMSUNG POLAND

Update: Samsung Poland on Twitter confirmed that the Lollipop update is coming on Samsung Galaxy Note 2. However, no other information about dates or regional rollouts was given.

Samsung has started updating the Galaxy Note 4 to Lollipop this week, and it is now also available for the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3. Yesterday, Samsung Galaxy S4 running on the Exynos chipset got the much anticipated Lollipop update in India. The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update is reportedly rolling out over-the-air (OTA) and is around 990MB in size.

According to Samsung’s Finnish branch, lollipop update is coming to many other Samsung phones along with the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5, both of which were previously expected to receive Lollipop.

Samsung Finland’s Android update page now shows that the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy S5 will all be updated to Android 5.0. The Galaxy S5 Mini is among the devices listed as waiting for the Lollipop update. The page doesn’t give any timeline for when we can expect the updates to show up.

The Galaxy Note 2 is a surprise inclusion in the list. Note 2 phablet first hit consumer markets in September 2012 and as a rule Samsung tends to support its devices through 2 years or 2 major updates, whichever comes first. Update rollouts will vary by region and carrier.

Earlier this week, a new leak showed Android Lollipop on each of Samsung’s top three smartphones. SamMobile has posted new videos of pre-release Android Lollipop being used on various Samsung smartphones. The videos show an even newer Android build — Android 5.0.1 Lollipop — and it can be seen on not one but three different smartphones. In three brief videos, Android 5.0.1 can be seen on the updated version of the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge.

In all three cases, of course, Samsung has added its TouchWiz software layer on top of Lollipop. As we can see here and as we have seen in past videos, however, TouchWiz has been updated with a flatter look better to match the new look of Google’s Material Design.

Android 5.0 Lollipop builds for the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and other phones began leaking shortly after Google released its Lollipop update to partners, suggesting that Samsung may be among the first vendors to issue the update for its phones.The company is typically very slow to release Android software updates, but this time around it looks like things will be a bit different for Samsung fans.
